Play Areas/Sports Pitches
The Council has four play areas at Ring Leas, The Green, Grassmere and Broadmeer. Each of these is locked overnight. Also on the Green are two teen shelters. March 2011 saw the official opening of Cotgrave’s Sports Space at the site of the former tennis courts.
It also owns the football pitches which are situated behind the Leisure Centre, as well as the pitches and pavilion at the Arthur Ridley Sportsground off Stragglethorpe Lane. The latter is let to Cotgrave Colts on a sole use basis. Outside the hours of Colts usage the sportsground and pavilion is available for hire at a daily hire rate of £60.
